Our pedigree distinguishes eCityRisk from other web-GIS providers. Our team of developers works closely with parent company ImageCat’s programmers, drawing on advanced web visualisation, integration, and analytical and modelling capabilities honed throughout the past decade to meet re/insurance market needs.

Unlike other web-GIS providers, we cater to both fundamental web-GIS and advanced web-modelling needs.

Web-GIS: Our exposure management tools have been developed in consultation with underwriters, with their specific business requirements and easy-of-use by non-GIS experts in mind.

Web-Modelling: We are also at the forefront of web-modelling. We both project manage and programme in-house the new generation of online catastrophe models. Our capabilities include: web-based application design, URL modelling, cloud computing solutions, handling high performance object oriented and relational database systems, and web-security.

Online modelling achievements include the 2009 launch of the web-based BRP (Baseline Risk Platform), INLET (request demo login) California’s first internet loss estimation model for earthquake, and the Virtual Disaster Viewer (request demo login) an online collaborative platform for post-disaster damage detection and analysis.
